18 Newborn Essentials for the New Mom
I did it…I finally wrote down all my Newborn Essentials! I seriously have been thinking about this post for so long! I will be the mom of a newborn for the 4th time this time around and I feel like I almost have it down! I have been so blessed to have tried and used so many products that I really feel I know what is necessary and what is “fluff” if you will. Scroll down for all my newborn must haves!

Freshly Picked Diaper Bag - I have tried so many, this one is my favorite for sure! So many pockets, changing pad, and probably one of my favorite features the pockets on the outside…4!
Aden & Anais swaddles - Swaddles are a must for me, because swaddling my baby is the only way to go! My boys still sleep with one of their favorites at night. The patterns are adorable, and the more you wash them the softer they get, and they get washed a LOT!
Noodle & Boo - Guys this stuff is like crack cocain, the smell makes you want to sniff your baby all day and night long! I also LOVE their diaper rash cream, its super thick and stays on through out the whole diaper wear.
UPPA Baby Stroller System - I have now had mine for 3 years and it still looks amazing, and works like a charm. The seats are super light weight and click in with ease. A double stroller is a must with more than one child. The under carriage storage area is huge and I love it for all the things. The leather handles are beautiful and make the stroller look that much extra classy!
Owlet - JayCee used this with the twins and was hooked. In a readers digest version… the baby wears a little sock on their foot that tracks their breathing and heart rate. Uh hello…a newborn moms dream! Now I can sleep better while baby sleeps too!
Little Unicorn Car Seat Cover - A car seat cover is a must with a newborn! Especially with all the sickness going around. These new ones from Little Unicorn are the cutest, and so functional as well!
DockATot - Guys, this is kind of a splurge, but worth it! Banks literally laid in this thing for the first 6 months of his life! I even put it on the counter while I cooked or cleaned so siblings couldn’t bug while they are sleeping.
Ergo Carrier - I have had this since Parks (my oldest) I still use it with every baby and still think it’s better than anything else. My babies instantly fall asleep the minute they are strapped in. It’s comfortable to wear and works with babies from newborn to toddler!
UPPA Baby Mesa - This light weight car seat has been our go to for the last two babies. It’s so functional, looks good and baby seems to love it!
Sound machine - NO BRAINER. Guys if you don’t use a sound machine with your baby while they are sleeping your missing out! It makes all the outside world go away why they sleep peacefully.
Munchkin Diaper Pail - So excited to try this, this go around. Every review I hear says this guy keeps the smell in!
Baby Shusher - Genius. That’s all I can say, put this baby in the car seat while your grocery shopping, in the car or trying to keep quiet anywhere…it’s amazing!
Boppy (EBB & THREAD Cover) - The Boppy saved my back while nursing. Holding baby up like that even though they are so little can do a number on your neck, shoulders and back. This Ebb & Thread cover is just too good!
Marpac Hushh Sound Machine - The little guy is completely portable, remember how I said a sound machine is a must…it is! Even on the go! Keeping a baby asleep as long as possible is what makes this momma heart happy!
SwaddleMe Swaddles - Babies like to be wrapped up tight, these swaddles make that easy! With the velcro straps it’s simple to keep baby wrapped up through out their whole nap or sleep.
4Moms mamaRoo4 - I have heard amazing things about this baby, I am so excited to test it out with this baby. All my other swings were as big as a kitchen appliance…love the simplicity!
Comotomo Bottles - This will be my second baby using Comotomo Bottles, they are the best of the best. The nipple is designed exactly like a nipple, which makes baby happy. Not to mention the ease of cleaning…just two parts! No bottle brushes necessary!
Philips Avent Soothie - These babies are miracle workers the first couple months of baby, they can’t keep it in themselves so having the placement for your finger to hold it in is a lifesaver!
