One On One With Each Child

One of the biggest things I was nervous about when deciding to have a third child was how I would equally spend some one on one time with each of them. With my oldest being almost 5 and 2 1/2 they are at very demanding ages. Now being a little over a month postpartum, I was right. My oldest two will do anything for attention right now. With this said I had to figure out a way to make all three of my babies happy. Here are a couple ways I spend one on one time with them which make things a little easier over here in the crazy house!

1. Finding something to do one on one with my two oldest, whatever it is, I let them choose. While Lux and Banks are napping I try to spend time with Parks. Parks loves to play board games, do art projects and bake with me. Lux loves to build with blocks and play with animals, I spend my time with Lux when Banks is napping and Parks is at school. I can't believe how much better behaved each of them is when I make this happen.

2. Making sure that while all three are around I let them interact with the baby. Nothing makes this momma's heart warmer than when my older two love on Baby Banks. Letting them feel like they can help out with him in any way makes them so happy. Even the littlest things such as grabbing a diaper or a binki.

3. I have noticed that when I tend to or hold the baby for long periods of time that the boys start to act up. So with child three he will actually get to nap in his crib...and not in my arms for the most part! Don't worry I get plenty of snuggles during the night!

4. Being SUPER patient. This one is going to be rough for me, and I am going to need a lot of it! Any suggestions are welcome!

What about you? What are some ways that help you spend some quality one on one time with your children? Let me know in the comments below!
